You know that moogle? *SPOILERS*
There's a moogle in a pot (with many eyes) in the Cavern of the Stolen Fayth. You hit the eye correctly, you get prizes. Miss, and you end up severely getting your characters hurt.
Is there any trick to this battle? It's always something very strange to me so I usually just run away.

Well it's not a moogle, it just looks like some very old alien guy. Anyways, it's just luck I suppose? You can't defeat it seeing as all the eyes have 99,999 each or something...

It's possible to do enough damage to the eye to theoretically kill it but it doesn't work.
It's invincible. It's just random. You hit and eye and get an item and get to try again or you hit an eye and it blows up.
Just run from them to save time.
I always thought it was a pupu in a pot ^.^ I like to see how many times I can hit until it goes boom!
Seven hits are maximum.
I have no clue as to what happens when/if you manage to hit it seven times without it blowing you away, since i haven't done it.
The most i've got is five.
Picking a lock is much like picking your nose; if you're successfull you're gonna end up with some sort of reward.
No you can get unlimited hits in on it. There's no way of "finishing" it so to speak.
