My big gripe with the game is the whole love story between Squall and Rinoa. (SPOILER)Boy meets girl, girl thinks boy is cute, boy ignores girl, boy says whatever a lot, girl turns out to be evil, boy falls in love........ WHAT? I mean, I know what they were trying to do, but it just didn't work out. Plus the weird unemotional and vague style of language that Square loves to use doesn't help any. I mean, the whole time that Squall is talking to himself and trying to sift through his emotions he doesn't really say anything compelling or terribly relatable. In the end I cared more about saving the world than I did about Squall's little fling with whatserface.
