CC's Glenn was named after CT's Glenn in honor of his heroism and all. They're completely different people, though.
If I'm not mistaken, the CC Glenn and Glenn from CT are indeed two different people.
I can see how people would think that they are the same person though, especially if you see the PSX version of CT and get the ending where you see Glenn back in human form. They kinda look similar, and they both can weild legendary swords and this and that. They are two different guys though. I can double check on that though. It's been a while since I've played CC or CT, and I haven't played through CC as many times as I have CT.

Like Ryuukishi said. I've heard he's in Glenn (CT)'s line, and he is named after his ancestor. Couldn't say otherwise.
Glenn (Frog) lived in 600AD. Glenn (CC) was born and raised in whatever the year CC is, which I know takes place after 'Present Day' 1999AD in CT
CC takes place in about 1015, not after 1999.
That's right, I got it confused with the Day of Lavos. What I mean is the time of Marle, Crono, an Luca. My mistake.
