chocobo Rank problem and KOTR and mime question

hey all i was wondering if one mime and one KOTR is alll i need to defeat the weapons? or should i level mime up and Kotr up? Oh and when i gain a raink for a chocobo it went from C to B ii thought it decreases to S cause i heard they were the best..or i could be wrong. thanks in advane

Level up all your materia before you fight the weapons. Otherwise you'll die.

You gotta get your chocobo to A class first. Then win 3 races in a row. Then you'll rise to S class.

The more mimes the better. Get 3 and you'll be laughing. 6 is great (lets you make up some strategies for killing them really easily) but 3 is just fine. It won't take that long if you get mime in a triple AP weapon and fight in the northern crater (movers and magic pots)

S stands for something like 'Special', it's a rank greater then A not less.
One Mime is fine, but first time around I beat Emerald Weapon with 2 Mimes. Of course you can only use one against Ruby Weapon anyway, unless you luck out and revive your characters.
