Need help with RO

Not a gameplay question so much as an installation/how to make it freakin' work question, which is why it's here and not in general gaming.

Quote from my LJ: Downloaded the again free beta thingy and installed today, but it won't work. It connects to the patch server and grabs a few things, then I get three error boxes that have just random symbols in them, so I have no clue what they say.

In the old beta it'd die if you didn't have enough free space on your hard drive for it to unpack / repack the resource files. Maybe see if you have a couple hundred MB free on your HD, or whatever it needs. Are there any numbers in the gibberish error message it gives you? Maybe check on some RO MBs too to see if other people are having a problem, which they almost certainly are, unless Gravity suddenly is no longer completely inept, which I doubt.

That was the problem, Unne - I was just coming back here to kill this thread after a friend helped me out.
