Chat/Java probelms
Whenever I enter chat on EoFF the popup for the Java virutal machine pops up and I click yes and the "always trus....." checkbox but the download of the virtual machine never happens and I get an error message from the Microsoft website. Did I do something wrong
That's because the Microsoft Java VM sucksYou want to download Sun's Java VM from http://java.sun.com instead, and install that
Might want to test on something other than EoFF chat though, the server's down again at the moment

The Sun Java VM is huge. 7.88 megs to be exact, it's a biatch to DL through 56k. Ok I hope this works.

Still no word on the server - the entire network it was on just vanished
EDIT: Yeah, it's back as the announcement says
Interestingly, the server has an uptim of 17 days, indicating that is was a network failure, not server failure. Apparently, it was along the lines of "the network cable was pulled out and no-one noticed"
Is mIRC chat operational?
