    Default Quicktime

I was wondering if anyone knew a way to play quicktime files(.mov), in the windows media player. Meaby a codec i don't know.
it's just quite annoying that everytime i want to see a .mov video i have to open the quicktime and when i want to play an mpg or .avi file i have to open the windows media player, god i wish i could play them both in one program.
    any help is appreciated.

I'd like one too Media Player seems to be able to play back older encoded quicktime videos in media player for me, seems that that particular filter is itself part of DirectShow 6 (part of DirectX) on my machine. It can't play back more recent ones though.
Problems playing downloaded videos? Try CCCP

http://ace.subpage.net/ can install a movie player that looks pretty much like Media Player 6, but it can play AVI and RealPlayer files. It also installs about a billion and a half codecs while it's at it. I installed it, then I was afraid of what it just did so I uninstalled it again. If you want to put a monstrosity like that into your computer to avoid having to use Quicktime it might be worth it to you.

I do but its annoying for me having to use a different program to play each file type.

EDIT: I found a great player that can reproduce all the common video files including quicktime. Its called ace media player, if anyone wants to try it out to, you can download the free trail version from their website.
