FF10 is the only one with a really easy final boss. But the guy before him is extremely hard so it makes up for it by having a weak last boss.

(SPOILER)Jecht was pretty easy actually, only 'hard' if you compare him with the final boss. As long as you have Stone Ward or Stone Proof, you should be okay, pick the right time to talk with Tidus and ignore the Pagodas (or kill them both, if you want)
