Can someone explain to me why it gets announced in chat first? It's kind of anti-climatic for the rest of us that don't go into chat or can't go into chat.

Okay, tally is up on the first post now =)

I do it in chat first because...

1) I like to encourage people to use the chatroom - in the leadup to the Ciddies and after it, chat is always on a high note and it's even been almost constantly active for over 24 hours at some point this week =D
2) The atmosphere. Giving the results out one by one infront of a 'live' audience is satisfying for me - and my hard work feels a lot more apprecciated.
3) It gets the people in chat who don't usually go to the forums involved.

And all three goals have been successful.
