Not without querying the database, and for security reasons, vBulletin won't parse ANY scriptin that could possibly access a database.
After all, if you could read the database, you'd also be able to write to it, and that basically gives you admin.
As far as I'm aware, either with executing database queries, which I don't think you can do with sigs here.
One "safe" way to do it would be to suck up to one of the admins and have then have a program run a query on the database in a chron job that ran once a day, etc... then have the program that executed the query write an output file that your sig would be able to read. But that could be a lot of work and it would take a lot of cookies to bribe the admin to help you.
There are two admins. Of the two, I have more knowledge of technical stuff. I do not know how to do that.
You're right, though, it would take a bugger of a lot of cookies. Because you would have to compensate me for the suffering I went through when Shlup cut off my penis with a chainsaw.
Sorry, but those are the kinds of problems that come up at work that I'm supposed to solve so when I saw it I couldn't help but try to solve it. Meh.

Maybe make a link to a dynamically generated image on another server, which every time it's called, that server grabs the forum home page of these forums, extracts the info off the page instead of the database, and creates the image on the fly to appear in your sig
