Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, I guess. Granted, most of Amano's men look effeminate, but his art style strikes me as being rather goth-like (or maybe pale skin and dark lipstick was only trendy over here when I was in high school). Dark elegance.

Personally, I don't hate Butz, but as it was said, he wasn't the most developped of characters, so it's hard to sympathize for him.
