WHAT EXACTLY IS CLOUD DOING!?

When you go to the Wonder Square, there is a stair that lead you up. When you go up the stairs, cloud jumps! What is going on in there. And what the (beep) is cloud jumping for?

i guess there must be a really big step there or maybe a ladder(meant for kids) that Cloud is confident in jumping instead of climbing.

There are hundreds of explanations, and no one can explain why...except, maybe, the designers. Then again, its always nice to have a little mystery.

I always thought it was the designers not thinking it through, they made him jump coz there aint anything there but without thinking what other people would do

Cloud jumps to do almost anything. And almost always, there's an inapporiate sound that accompanies it. Like when he attaches himself to a ladder, it sounds like someone ripping velcro.

This many sound stupid but I always thought that there was some sort of vacuum sucking him up into the tunnel that leads into the actual building. That's just something that I always assumed and never really questioned but now that you all mention it... WHY?!?
