Default FF IV mist cave mist problem

Just got the FF IV rom and am having problems in the mist cave....as soon as I enter, the screen is all white...has anyone else encountered this problem? I tried a few things to fix it but to no avail(change resolutions and other video options)

No pun intended, but the mist cave is quite misty. I'm guessing that the mist is it's own layer. Somewhere on your emulator, you should have an option to remove some layers, or something like that, I'm not sure. Maybe try a different Emulator.

I will do this. Nothing in my life matters except this. No moment in my life exists except this moment. I am born in this moment, and if I fail, I will die in this moment.

Yeah, its the transperency option on the emulator. It's related to one of the number buttons on your keyboard. Just keep trying until it says Transperency Effects On.

If you are using ZSNES then to enable/disable layers use the numbers 1-6 on your keyboard (I think it goes up to 6... 5 BG layers and a sprite layer).

Yea, same thing happened to me. Like Rude said, try the number 2 or 3 key, if your using the Znes.

Or go to VIDEO, and click on 640x480x16 VESA2, and click SET. That should enable transparencies. If you're having problems in SNES9x, you need to update your emulator [or switch to ZSNES].

Change the resolution/colors or push 2 to disable the fog.

Don't disable any layers. All current emulators have fixed transparancy problems. So, just update it and it will most likely work.
