I totally support an imaginary Seifer/Squall relationship. Squall is the only person that Seifer mildly respects or trusts, and Seifer is the only person who can push the right buttons to get Squall to open up. They grew up together and both have developed methods of preventing people from getting too close, so they understand each other. I think that, after neither of them were adopted at the orphanage, it both pushed them together and drove them away. They needed each other, but they were both afraid of abandonment.

hmmm... true, though Squall/Seifer can evolve in a hatred as quickly as it would involve in love. Hmmm... Squall and Selphie.... You know, that doesn't sound THAt bad at all. Rinoa fits better with Seifer in a way I think. (they'd be a cute pair, both acting cocky and self assured) Quistis needs someone who's better at expressing emotions then Squall. Seifer on the other hand is too agressive sometimes, he'd break her heart without trying. Zell maybe? I don't think Squall would lose patience with Selphie. He's not the type to actually sock someone I think, nor is Selphie the type to get hurt by his coldness sometimes. (as Rinoa and Quistis would) She'd just urge him to do something incredibly stupid until he gives in.

That said, all pairings COULD work I guess, if the characters involved would really want it. (of course, we ARE talking about fictional characters)

Ellone is Squalls sister.(SPOILER) Ellone was either Raines daughter or was cared for by Raine. Laguna married Raine on the rebound from Julia and Raine died giving birth to Squall. Laguna didn't know about Squall and so Ellone and Squall went into Edea's orphanage. Ellone was taken away because of her ability and so Squall and Ellone were separated. That is why Squall is so moody and anti-social Anyone disagree?

Squall and Ellone were basically brother and sister, but not biologically. (SPOILER)Ellone's parents were murdered by Esthar soldiers when they refused to allow Ellone to be taken as a potential successor to the aging Sorceress Adel. Raine adopted Ellone and raised her after that.

Anyway, I think Rinoa for Squall is fine. I mean, he obviously liked her enough to fall in love with her, right? I suppose she CAN be a tad annoying at times, but she's got her heart in the right place, and it's apparent that she returns his feelings. I think that they contrast each other well enough.
