Wow... I forgot we had such a long thread here... Well then, just a reminder to everyone out there on Midgardsormr, if you're from Windurst and are looking for a LS, we are always open to new members! I won't go into my long and drawn out explanations of the rules... I'll just throw em down quick for you guys:
- No swearing on LS, nor religious and/or political discussion. There are times when this slips, it doesn't happen often and it is remembered when it does. Keep it clean enough for everyone to enjoy.
- Remember that you represent us when you wear our pearl. That means treat others with respect, don't be irritating, help when you can (but don't drop everything for it if you're busy, we all have stuff to do sometimes, too).
- We don't hold events too often, there's just so much to do in this game! When we do, though, at least try to participate once and try it on for size. We always have fun when we do
- Have a good time! Remember that this is a game and we're here to enjoy it!
That's about all there is to it, if ever anyone is interested, remember our little code, and that Windurstian is a pre-requisite, and contact Grandlethal, Gamina, Omecle, Vvolf, Meyoh, Gavin, Keyrana, Elrohir, or myself (Ichnameist) for a pearl and we'll try to get to you asap! No requirements, just a fishing rod and some bait
I will invite EVERY LS that i know of and try to get to get them to come, we will spend the day fishing non-stop on the boat and screwing around. Hopefully chaos will ensure on the boat and stuff XD
Date is not set yet but i like to confirm with everyone that i know of whats the best time. Post your opinions on this event and also the date if you are interested in joining, i will try to work it in with everyone i hope.

Well my friend just left Final Fantasy XI for good.
I quit the game about 2 months ago because I just got tired of it, but maybe with a good linkshell I can get back in the groove.
I plan on starting over as a tarutaru. This Windurst thing sounds like a good group of folks, and I'd be more than happy to join and perhaps get back into the swing of things.
Problem is that I'm on Carbuncle. If anyone has a world pass handy and could get in contact with me, then I'd be more than willing to give this game another shot.
I'm one to believe that "it's all about the guilds" when it comes down to how your online experience will be. If you have a crappy guild, then it's going to be a boring grind from 1 to whatever the max level is. If you have an interesting and involved guild that you can exp with and actively participate in raids with then it gets a bit more interesting.
I'm still a bit of a noob to FFXI in general (the highest I got before pulling the plug on Carbuncle was 20 BlackMage/14 RedMage) so I might need to learn a bit more about the game still, such as the whole macro deal. It's going to be an endeavor, but I got the time.
I'd randomly create characters and try to land on Midgard, but the problem is I tried that already and after awhile the name I use starts to become invalid.
To hell with Battletoads and Double Dragon.

I don't play too often anymore, check my plants twice a day and go about real life for a while, that sort of thing. I don't actually come here too often anymore, either. If you're still needing that WP I can try to hook you up sometime, but they'r eonly good for one week, I'll need to know exactly when you need it and hopefully it won't be on a day I'm at work
Off Topic: I love the Lufia sig... I sold my SNES years ago and I can't find... well, you know. I wish they'd re-release both games on a disc for the Cube, it needs worthwhile rpgs... or games in general, actually.

Hmmm my thread has long since died but if you like i can also imberse you with a WP, two friends from another BBS wanted one and i am sure to be able to get to ya in a day or two.
Someone is already getting me a world pass. I should be on Midgardsormr by probably Sunday night.
I'm afraid of starting anew though. I believe I will start in Windurst. I still have to see just how many EoFF people are going to be on that server since that's probably the main reason I'm joining it.

O.o hmm i think i am getting one today, not sure. Once my friends start talking. But in any case i am sure just about anyone on this thread is on the Midgard server.
I haven't posted here in a long time, so thought I would say Hi and let everyone know I'm trying ot get us a new host for the website. Although at the drop rate we're dealing with for members right now, we may not need one in another month lol.
I'll be out of game from Sept 1 - Sept 9 I think it will be nice to have a long break *already getting withdrawl shakes*
The more you don't play, the more Key's gonna get ahead of you! Low member status atm is no problem, man. This is something that's happened before, no big deal. We extend our aid, our expertise, our learned patience, and our community to any and all who would like to join our ranks. Very simply:
- Keep language clean
- Leave religion and other crap at home, we come here to have fun.
- Enjoy the game, it's a waste of money, otherwise.

I'll be finding out a little more about my little trip in the upcoming weeks. For now I can tell you its a later weekend in October (I think they said 23-25), and I'm hoping I will get a bit of free time to gte away from the owner and the boss and do some off job drinking

Hey Nick, have you found any hosts yet? It's been a tad depressing that the WLA forums and website have been down for so long... We could just put the same one up on the new host and then later change it to this new one that's currently in the process of creation.
