    I released him from king Worus's prison. Will this effect the game in any way, and will the effect be good or bad?

    There's a treasure chest in the Jachol Caves that normally contains a Shock Whip. If you liberated Lone Wolf, though, it'll just contain a note to inform you of what a sucker you were for dealing with a criminal.
