How do you do it? Do you have to have a turbo controller 'cause I tried the tape thing and every time it gets back to the beginning of the circle (where you gotta choose to go around again) nothing happens. I wanna cheat peeps please!

I feel I am backup. I feel expendable. I feel punishable. I feel ventible. I feel worthless. I am relationshipless. I feel I live without purpose. I feel I am a waste of life. I am unstable. I feel alone.
Okay, here's what you do.
I take it you know how to get to the point where you do it, right? If not, let me know. You need to go to "Config" and set a certain option to "Memory". I can't remember which it is, but there's only one, anyway.
Help me out here, people.
I tried setting it first to reset then to memory, no difference. I know to change the cmd to short and change bannon to healing every turn. My gig is that by holding down the a button it doesn't automatically make it choose to continue to go up on the path the raft just sits there.

You need to have turbo to pull that off. So that the A button is perpetually being pressed.
I wouldn't recommend using this trick, you miss out on the esper level up stat bonuses your characters would otherwise be getting later in the game - though I suppose it wouldn't matter too much once you're at level 99 with semi-good stats since that'd be overkill anyway since the game can be easy to significantly lower levels anyway Still a waste of time as far as I'm concerned
Of course, doing it after you get espers would be wiser....
That'd still only send one stat rocketing and leave the others trailing, so I still don't think it's that good a trick
Also it would make the rest of the game boring. Random battles would be pointless without EXP. Just getting GP and and MP.
Mr Thou! Mr Thou!
Agreed. The only time I used this trick was to get Celes, Edgar and Setzer to level 99 with one super-stat so that doing the quests in the WOR and the last tower would be easy with one person parties.Originally posted by Gau

Pfft, doing that last tower with only Celes, Edgar and Setzer was easy at level 60
