Final Fantasy X-2 International

Square Enix have unveiled their latest "International" update in this week's Shonen Jump magazine. "Final Fantasy X-2: International + Last Mission" includes new missions, a new class ("Physiccer"), and, probably most importantly of all, a new bonus dungeon.


The "Tower of Yadonoki" seems much like the Omega Dungeon from Final Fantasy X - it houses many special items and can only be accesed at the end of the game. In fact, Yuna, Rikku and Paine must tackle it in a time period 3 months after the last battle in Final Fantasy X-2 takes place - hence the "Last Mission" tag.


Players who have already completed the standard version of Final Fantasy X-2 and have the save on the Memory Card to prove it are treated to the back story of this ominous tower. This makes a change from previous games where owners of the old version gained absolutely no reward in the new version (Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy X).


It seems as though once again, the US will unfortunately miss out on Final Fantasy X-2 International's additional features, as Square Enix USA have officially denied it, citing time issues with the release only 3 months away. However, there is still hope for the European version.


Final Fantasy X-2 International is expected to land in Japan this winter.

OMG!! I just went to a site and they said Dec. 2. It was supposed to be Nov 3 I CAN'T WAIT UNTILL DECEMBER!!!! this absoulty sucks can't they just stop confusing us!!!

too bad they couldn't delay 7. I heard that they didn't wnat to delay the game soo...they didn't do all the stuff that they really wanted to do. but thats just what I heard but... there is a bunch of stuff that went unanswered

On play.com (which previously said it would be out the beginning of November) it now says 27th February 2004 Grrr. And thats in Europe I think.

HA HA ... EB girls at the store said it released on Nov 20th with a special edition collector's Art book with the music cd and other nifty things *looks at Xander* interested?

I just bought the new issue of Official Playstation Magazine, and....wow. I am speachless. After watching the english version of the Eternal Calm clip, and playing two short missions from FFX-2, I was completely amazed. It was the craziest thing in the world, I got into a battle so I stopped to look at what commands I had, and before I knew it my characters were almost DEAD! It was so fast paced, and so full of action I couldn't believe it was a final fantasy game I was playing.

If you have not picked up this month's issue of OPM, I suggest you do it now. If not for the articles on FFX-2, then for the demo disc alone. All I can say is November 18th cannot come soon enough.
