What's wrong with the forests?

I think there's something wrong with my ZSNES. I'm completely newbieish in this area, but I think it has something to do with layers. The problem is, it's almost impossible to see my way trough the forests (like the one at the end). Anyone else got the same problem? How do I fix it?

I don't remember perfectly, but that might be how it is supposed to look. The paths are very well hidden and it is quite difficult to navigate through.

You can remove the trees and the shadows by playing with the 1-6 keys on ZSNES.

I'm not quite sure which forest that is. You say it's the 'end' one, so I'm presuming it's the one inside the Cleft of Dimension.

From what I remember, just follow where the path lets you until you find trees with holes in them. Talk to the holes and you should fight a boss.

Yeah, I found that out now. <slaps head> DOH! Why didn't I remember that. Oh well...
