What factor does weight play in ffv? Everything you equip has weight, and it's better if it's less.. but why? I've looked everywhere on the net and can't find it. ffII from fforigins uses weight as well. What's it all about?

Well, in theory, I suppose heavier armor would slow you down, so wearing something more lightwieght would be a speed advantage. If heavier armor lowers your speed stats in FF5, I'm not sure - I never really paid much attention to it while playing. If it does have an effect, I don't believe it is a particularly noticeable one.
