What's the reason Square made the higher level spells ending in -ra, -da, and -ga? I think only like Cure3 in Japan ended in -da, and the rest of the 3rd level spells were -ga. Does anybody know? Is it some kinda Japanese suffix or something? -shane

I really doubt it has any significance, but it sounds cool, which is what's mostly important.
Cure3 is Curaga in all the games that don't have Cure4. In the games that do have Cure4, Curaga is the name for it, while Cure3 is called Curada. The same is true with the Dia spells: Dia4 is Gadia, while Dia3 is Dadia. What I don't know is why the suffix becomes a prefix for the Dia spells.
The exception to this rule is Final Fantasy Tactics, in which Cure4 is called Curaja and Cure3 is still called Curaga.
I believe it's a japanese suffix. I read it somewhere, if I remember right.
Can't help you, but as an interesting tidbit, FFT in Japan had the Level 4 spells end in -ja.
Like: Thunder, Thundara, Thundaga, Thundaja
