emulation help

ok so im playing crono trigger on zsnes and im at 12,000 bc. then i go through the first skyway and into the building. but when i go up the stairs where janus is the game freezes. ive tryed with to roms but with the same save state. will someone tell me whats going wrong and how to fix it??

Ive never heard of this problem, it probably has something to do with the ROM. Or maybe I am misinformed.

It might be the emulator. have you tried a different ZSNES?

If the first ROM was faulty, then the save state will likely be faulty, so changing the ROM won't fix it. You need to load off a proper save game from the game to make sure (you should be able to use the same battery save file with a new ROM file though).
