    Before you move a refrigerator (from San Diego to Houston, in this case), for how long do you have to keep it unplugged? You know, because fridges these days have all these water pumps and icemakers, etc.

    I think mine needs less than a day to unfreeze and get all the water (from the freezer) to go out. *checks manual*

    Actually they don't say anything. Just leave it off opened so that all the water from the frost and stuff can evacuate, and when it's dry, you can move. After you moved it, wait two hours before replugging it (that, the manual says).
