Aeris' Theme isn't really a "song." Unless you mean Pure Heart, but that was absolute trash and should in no way be regarded as having anything to do with Aeris' Theme. I'm not sure I'd consider One Wing Angel a song, either..

You're right, it doesn't make sinse, but just because theres no lyrics, doesn't make it not a song
If you want to be litteral, I meant a song as in a "song with lyrics." I thought my point was clear, but I guess not.

There seems to be some confusion over the subject of this thread. In my first post I used words such as song, music, and tune, but the name of the thread is "Best Music". The word 'music' covers just about everything, whether it has lyrics or not. I apologise for the very limited choice in the poll, but I don't have access to any soundtracks or the names of the 'songs' in the games.
Ok, I knew what you meant from the get-go. But then Kenshin IV brought up how Aeris's Theme didn't have lyrics. But if you ask me, I original thought you were using those tunes/songs/etc... as choices since they were the basically the "love theme" of all those games (except One Winged Angel.) I knew exactly what you meant. But he brought up Pure Heart, which isn't even in FFVII, it was something they added on in the Piano Collections of whatever soundtrack it appeared on... there were like 6 soundtracks for FFVII.
To my knowledge, there were only 2 soundtracks for FF7. The OST, and the Reunion CD. Neither of those held Pure Heart (vocal version of Aerith's Theme). It was not until the FFX era, when the singer Rikki released the single for Suteki Da Ne, it appeared. She had written lyrics to it, and included it on the single under the name 'Pure Heart'.
Lol. How bout that. So there are only 2. I was looking at http://www.nobuouematsu.com/ and sorta got FFVII and FFVIII a bit mixed together (easy if you think about it) So that was my bad.
Melodies of life would be ok but they played it so many friggin' times that it got me pissed off for no real reason and now it kinda' sucks.
oh and another thing almost every song in ffix was a remix of Melodies of life...

I love Eyes on me
Eyes on me was the best (I guess its because im so mutch like squall that i get too emotional about it, if thats possible to be too involved in a final fantasy game)
