    Default FF getting easier?

Lets compare FF1 and FF4. FF1 to me seems obviously harder. Only three spells per Spell Level, more level uping required, and most importantly, no summons. Tell me what you think.
Edit: The word "hared" in the poll should be "harder". >.<

Most of the games are the same.

    FF1-easy

    FF2-hard

    FF4-medium

    FF5-medium

    FF6-medium

    FF7-medium

    FF8-easy

    FF9-medium

    FF10-medium

P.S. This should be in the Genral Final Fantasy forum.

Well, I'm a lazy bum and didn't want to click the mouse 4 more times to go to another forum.
    + you'll notice I compared FF1 and FF4. I thought I could skirt the rule if I did that.

I would vote for the second option, but it makes it sound like people who think Final Fantasy is getter harder are stupid.

    >>> I dont know in FF2 but in FF1 the stuff is more expensive, there is not auto-target, various magic are ineffective in battle, the MP is very limited also there is not Phoenix-down or other fancy items and no save points inside the dungeons.. so yeah the things are more easier in later FFs..

FFs aren't constantly getting easier, but it clearly feels to me like they're easier than before. The original NES FFs were hard games at times. I think the hardest FFs were the first SNES ones, FF4 (hard type) and FF5. Ever since FF6, the games started to get easy. IMHO, FF7 and FF8 were the easiest. FF9 and FFX were getting a bit harder again, so I think they're heading towards the right direction again. We're still not on the difficulty level of FF1-5, but that's also a good thing. I think Final Fantasies should be challenging games, but not so challenging that only hardcore veterans can beat them.

well, the plots are getting better. The gameplay is improving, but compare, for instance FF7 to FF10. The erarlier ones started getting complex around FF4 or FF5, but I remember in FF1 constantly returning to towns to heal or buy potions.

None of the PSX/PS2 incarnations have posed a real challenge. The NES/SNES games weren't particularly hard, either, but they were certainly more difficult than recent FF's.
