    The fact that it is a thong/speedo thing isn't my question. Why is it purple, and what's up with the football shoulder-pad getup? And where can I get something that has long sleeves and still allows me to go around bare-chested??? That is so cool!!!

    (SPOILER)At one point, Garland says that Kuja has a tail - he's simply kept it hidden to conceal his identity. So... perhaps he dyed his tail purple, and wrapped it around his thighs so that it looks like a thong?
