Doesn't mort or morte mean death in languages like Latin and French?

Because if it is, Seymour = dead and they = dead.

Yeah, but what of Mortiorchis? Orchis sounds like orchid... which is a flower... yet Mortiorchis looks not a thing like a flower... and what would seymour want with a dead flower? Or even a living one?

Yeah, the whole "mort-" thing does mean death, just look it up in any Romance language. Mort is French, Muerte - Spanish, I believe Mortis is Latin, but I'm not sure, anyway, yeah, its supposed to go along with Seymour's whole "being dead" thingy.

OOC:Mortis is the plural form of the word, while mors is the singular form, if I am not mistaken.

Anyway, that "vessel for the dead" does make sense.
