    Default Monitor..

    My friend has a monitor trouble, and i need help on this...quote form him

    the best way to describe this is that my display screen's done a cut and paste on itself like parts of the screen have been literally ripped off and placed somewhere else
    No magnets have been near it according to him, and he thinks its a WinXP problem though i am not sure. His comp he says is slowing down even with defrag...any clues tips...or anything?

    Sounds like screen corruption, possibly from bad memory on the video card. (I doubt it's the main memory that's corrupt, or the PC will be blue screening a lot.) Perhaps try replacing the card, or testing the card in another machine.

    As for the computer slowing down, that's kinda normal with Windows as you install more and more stuff If he thinks it's slowing down way too much compared to stuff he's adding though, try doing a virus scan and spyware scan
