I don't think that Jecht would appreciate this thread.
(SPOILER)It's made very clear in the game that Jecht is Sin. Also we know that Jecht is Tidus' father. Therefore logic leads us to the conclusion that Sin is a male(Tidus' father is Jecht, who is Sin, for a recap).
Also, Sin spawns are scales from Sin, not actual birthed spawns.
Not only that, but if Sin spawns were birthed, Sin would need something of the opposite sex to help out there. So if Sin was a girl, she'd need a boy sin to fertilize the eggs to make Sin spawns. It's a he, asexual if anything.

(SPOILER)No, Jecht IS Sin. He isnt the essence of Sin, the thing that keeps regenerating, but he is the body of Sin, as stated in the game. When he became Braska's final Aeon, Yu Yevon possessed him and made him Sin. I'm sure Sin has been many sexes over the years

I doubt it was just two. This was supposed to have been going on for quite some time, and if you remember, Yunalesca also defeated Sin.
There have been various incarnations of Sin, but they can't have been any more than two types of gender. I think that's cactuar_12's point.

Sin is sin. It has no particular sex. It's just a gaint floating beast-thing. There is only one sin, so why would it have a sex?
