all right then, i played and conquered ff8 2 or 3 years ago when it first came out, now besides minor plot holes and things i didnt pay attention enough to understand; one thin has been plauging me ever since, enough that 2-3 years later i go mad once again searching for the answer. what the bloody hell is the meaning and significance of 'fithos lusec wecos venosec' i thought it sounded latin and i couldent find a translator. infact since playing the game i have actually had that chant in and out of my head for weeks at a time. i figured you guys seem to know everything so to ask you. put my mind to rest.

oh yea, i had never heard any of this R=U junk either, i found it all very interesting indeed...

i did actually find several translators but i never found anything that was successful in translating it into english, i just wanted to get my point out quick without really explaining myself.

and thanks for the link mod dude but it told me what Liberi Fatali was not anything about Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec.

It seems that the words are the same in Latin and in English in this link. Are they real words or just something FF?

EDIT: "Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" is an anagram of "succession of witches" and "love", according to this link.

"Fithos Lusec Wecos Vinosec" isn't Latin, the only 'meaning' those words have is in the anagram Leeza mentioned. It just sounds pretty cool, that's all.

Still, the notion of 'Succession of Witches' is an important one in FFVIII, as we see in the concept of 'sorceress succession'; love is also an important plot element.
