Worms Armageddon: random crashes

I installed Worms Armageddon on my new computer and the program just suddenly quits on me, unexpectedly. No error messages, no nothing. I also remember the same thing happening to my old computer. The thing is, it only happens while loading or at the beginning of a game. I can access the options menu fine, but games always crash. What the hell is going on?

edit: I can do training missions just fine. It's the games that screw up.

edit again: I can also do single-player missions fine (although whenever I press escape, keyboard input stops working...). It's just the regular games.

You could try having a look at Team 17's <A HREF="http://www.team17.com/support.html">support section</A>. There's an FAQ there with details on patches. Other than that, I'm not sure, as worms always used to crash on me as well. Hmm, that last sentence sounds odd.

I tried their suggestions and still problems. In addition, whenever I right-click to open up the menu, the game crashes. And whenever I press Esc, the game crashes as well. DirectX works fine, DMA is fine, everything is good...

Fixed by installing a patch for XP. Thanks for the forum link, Vivi.
