how do you mount a chocobo?

Just what the name implies, Im slow and cant figure out how to mount chocobos

You dont.

You move to the square the chocobo's on, and it'll ask you if you want to ride it. Say yes and you will. You use your own actions, but from the next turn on you'll have the Chocobo's movement abilities until you choose to dismount it.

Very carefully. Chocobos need to be wined and dined and can be quite skittish if you move to fast. Smooth music, like Barry White will often help put the Chocobo in the mood. Also putting some type of alcohol in the mash that you feed your chocobo can help give your chocobo a false sense of security.
