Another email notification idea/whinge

LiveJournal.com's emails are kind of neat. Whenever someone replies to a post or comment you've made there, you get an email saying who wrote it, and also what they wrote. Personally, I reckon this would be a nice idea here. For PM and thread replies, it'd be handy to know in advance whether it's worthwhile logging on to see what someone's message or reply is saying. Surely I'm not the only one who gets a little annoyed to get notification that someone's replied to an important thread, then you log in and find that their post just says "lol jk" or something similarly useless? It's even more of a pain when you're paying 8c per megabyte for internet traffic.

So yeah... email notifications which include what has been said, as well as who said it, would be really very nice.
