What do you call your characters?

I once named them in my first file, the first time I played:

Cloud=MYNAME REAL NAME IN ALL CAPS
tifa=LADY
aeris= FLOWER ( I dont think I saw the lower case letters)
Red XIII= Red X (not 10, just X like Xtreme, I continue to name him that now)
Cait Sith= Cait sith
Cid=Cid
Vincent=Vincent
yuffie=Yuffie

In ff9 I called Vivi Vincent, and that stuck so well, I get confused sometimes when people refer to vincent in ff7 and not my vincent in ff9. I name them default now, except of Red XIII

My chocobos, which I finally have in my 6th file

male=male1
female=female1
black=Smoke
blue=Sea
Green=Mountians
Gold=Rooter

Then to try and get the fastest chocobo, I took my black one and my gold one and made them have another chocobo, who was Gold, and he turned out with the fastest speed, I think it was like 700 something..I think....

I forgot about the chocobos. Umm, I think that I called them:
Blue: Sea
Green: Grass
Black: Night
Gold: Sunny

How Original is that? I like the chocobos and I always name them after something that relates to their colour.

Default names. I like them (even if they sounded a bit weird at first!) and they seem to somehow fit in.

And Barrett trying to shoot down a helicopter... after many years of seeing TV adverts for Barratt Homes, that just amused me

Apart from that it makes them easier to discuss if you're all referring to the same names.

I kept default names my first time, then all the subsequent times I changes Red XIII to Nanaki. I felt he was deservant of that name.

I thought the same, but it does get a bit weird...
"Hojo called me Nanaki, a name of no meaning to me. Call me what you wish."
"Who's Nanaki?"
"Nanaki is Nanaki, that's his name..."
etc!

I chose Vincent. He's hot, plus he's all mysterious and anguished ^_^

I kept their names all default. Except ONCE I think I called Barret "Mr T". Yeah, couldn't help myself.

I call Red XIII just Red. He shouldn't have a number. Nasty Hojo

Usually I just call them by their default names, but when I call them something different it's sometimes something weird... For example:

Cloud: Blade
Aeris: Holy
Tifa: Darling
Barret: Brother
Cait Sith: Toy
Vincent: Mystic
Cid: Airborn
Yuffie: Thija (Thief and Ninja)
Red XIII: Killer

As said this is just an example. Other times I actually give them some fair names...

I named Cloud after me the first time I played, other than that the chocobos were the only unique names

they were creative, if i do say so myself

Blue Male Chocobo : BlueM
Blue Female Chocobo : BlueF
Green Male Chocobo : GreenM
Green Female Chocobo : GreenF
Black Chocobo : Blacky

He says "Nanaki is Nanaki" regardless of whether you call him Nanaki or something else, I believe.

Anyway, I use the default names for all of them except Red XIII, for whom I use Nanaki. And I'm voting for Yuffie, I guess, since I like her character the most. Cloud is easily the best character in battle, tho'.

Edit: Wtf, Cid has no votes. That's a travesty. >:O

They're from some play. Dantes Infreno I think.

ANway, I always use defualt.

My chocobos were named after chars from other games.

so I had
yellow male = Zidane
Yellow Female = Garnet
Blue F = Rikku
Blue F = Yuna
Green F = Lulu
Blue M = Wakka
Black M = Auron.
Still looking for Goldie.
