    Grin Race Name Pronounciations

I was just wondering how other people pronounce the names of races, and characters in Tactics Advance.

Heres how i usually go about it:
    - Bangaa - "Bang-ahh" like when you smell something nice and go ahhhh.
    - Vierra - "Vee-air-ah"
    - Moogle - "Moogle" just like google.
    - Nu mou - "New-moe" like Moe from the simpsons.

Montblanc - my friend and i constantly refer to him as Matt LeBlanc (Joey from friends) or "Monty".

Marche - sometimes i refer to him as Marsh, like the name for a swampy place. Other times i go for March, like soldiers do.

Mewt - i think is obviously like the animal.

Llednar Twem - I dont want to spoil anything here, so if i do it is unintentional. But it pisses me off that my friend called him "Twermwad" all the time when you obviously should refer to him as just Llednar, it's his first name!!!!!!

I can't think of anything else rightnow, someone help me out, what do you think?

    Bangaa: Rhymes with Fang, Duh.
Viera: Rhymes with The Air, Duh.
Nu Mou: Rhymes with New Cow.

Marche: The say Marsh-ay in the commercial, but I just say Marsh.
Montblanc: It should probably be pronounced to rhyme with 'Won't Ankh', but I just use the O from 'pond' and the blank from 'blank'.
Ivalice: They say EE-vul-eese in the commercial, but I prefer EYE-val-iss. *Shrug*

    Ivalice - eye-vah-leece
Yeah i agree with that one, TV commercials always say wierd stuff so I don't really stick by their pronounciations anymore.

To me Ivalice rhymes with syphilis. Iv (as in give) - uh - liss.

    Bangaa - Bung - gah

    Nu Mou - Noo Moo

Vierra - Vair (rhymes with there) - uh

Moogle - Moo - gull (like the offspring when a cow and a sea gull mate)

In Spanish, two "L"s make a Y-sound, so I tend to pronounced Llednar, "Yednar."

Llednar looks Welsh to me, so I pronounce it as a Clednar

Montblanc looks French to me and so I pronounce that with an appropriate accent too

Mont Blanc is indeed French. It's the name of a dessert that's popular in Japan. This, of course, creates duality with Marche, whose name is supposed to be Marsh, as in a marshmallow.

I had thought of a duality as well, but with Montblanc being "White Mountain" and Marche being pronounced Marsh as in the terrain. Ah well.

It's always been a problem that you build up this pronounciation in your mind of certain characters or things in a game, and then you speak to your friend and they have no idea what you are talking about because they have a different idea.
Then 9there are times when you think you have the right idea, and so does your friend.
Then you get angry, even a little upset, emotions start to come out and you have to make a forum topic, like this, to get some second, third, and even fourth opinions.
Hey does anyone know how to prnounce Bahamut by the way?
I usually go for a "Baa - Haa - Moot (as in foot)"
My friend is all about the "Baa - Haa - Mutt (as in a name for a dog)"
I for one dont like reducuing a great dragon to a dogs level.
Lately though, I have been using a sort of Arabic accent whilst saying the name, something which you will have to imagine yourself as I have no idea how to write it down.

Bahamut should indeed be pronounced "baa-haa-moot."

Back to the food references, I think Doned's name could have something to do with donuts. Ritz's name could be related to Ritz crackers, but I doubt that brand is very popular in Japan.
