Hey im not 100% sure but im prety sure that FFXI only gets shipped to stores today(28th) and goes on sale the 29th because most the people who ordered it online don't recieve it till tomarrow.

Yea, i believe ur right. When i called the EB store, they said that they did not have the game, and that it will come in tomorrow(Oct. 29). Wonder why they said that it was coming out in Oct. 28th though?

They said it was coming out on Oct. 28th, mainly because that is the release date.
It is shipped out today, and probably most will recieve it tomorrow, stores included.
Man, I went to the store and started arguing with the guy that works there. Man I hope he is not working tomorrow. If they said the 28 it should be released on the 28.

Today is the day it was released in stores, therefore they should have been at the stores, but since you preordered and it has to be shipped to you, it will take an extra day. You can't expect them to get the package and somehow zap it to your front door.

My plan is to call first and then go at a different time to make sure he isn't there. But if he is and he gives me attitude I will get the supervisor, he will tremble at the thought of getting fired. If not screw it, one way or another I will get my copy of FFXI

It's really a matter of distance. The game shipped to retailers and people who preordered today. But unless you live really close to an area that is shipping the game out you most likely won't see the game until tomorrow. I've been stalking Wal-Mart for the last 8 hours checking on ever freight pallet that hits the floor in electronics. I'm going to bed now but I'm getting up at 6 a.m. to give them a call and see if it's in. If it is I'm probably going to regret pre-ordering it.

You could always import if you want to play it badly enough to pay the fees... Or, if you know anyone who's coming down to you anyhow you could just have them cart it over

I have a friend who lives in the U.K. do you think if he bought a U.S. copy he would be able to play it? He says he might not be able to play it because of the servers. Also if anyone knows about this can you please respond, thanks.

Server? what's wrong about connecting to a US server from over-sea? I used to bring my games around during my travels lol!
There is only one problem if he's going to play the PS2 version of the game.. European uses PAL format so the over-sea NTSC format will cause a slight picture shift to the upper-right corner of your screen.
