FF XI Money.

Anyone that has the game want to give me some insight on how hard it is to get money and how much things can cost.....like....how many quests (the ones that give u money) would you need to do to pay for a world pass (i know their cost is a variable...but a rough estimate). Do monsters give u money when u kill them? Are weapons stupidly expensive? Are minerals hard/really hard to come by and are they valuable?

Monster can give money, I'm a low level but sometimes I get like 5 or 10 gil off of a Goblin. I haven't done too many quests yet, but I did this hat thing and got 150 for it.

Talus you didnt show the hat to enough NPCs, your suppose to talk to just about every NPC there is when u have the hat, if u show enough you get a windshear hat for your armour. If you dont show enough u get 150 Gil.
