My problem is that I beat a fairly difficult aggresive monster, and then while I'm healing, two more decide to spawn. Check doesn't come in too handy in those cases, since I don't have a choice but to fight them, or *try* and run away. I think I've managed to succeed maybe twice...
    Sig under construction.

FFXI is the most fun and in depth game I ever played. I played offline RPGs and only 2 MMORPGs Everquest and FFXI. But FFXI has no equal in quality.

It has good gameplay, beautiful graphics and and a story to it. I always look forward to what is coming up next in game.

If nothing else this game will draw you in to its world. The opening movie is so awesome. You wish FF spirits within was like this movie. Man I would love to see a movie of this game.

I recommend it. I give 5 stars out of 5.

The only other MMORPG I have played and can compare it to is Ragnarok Online... a game which I thoroughly enjoyed while I was playing it. Yeah, FFXI blows that game away. The visuals are amazing, the locations are gargantuan, and there's so much to do. You have no idea how shocked I was to see a cutscene occur during my first mission. I dunno, after RO I just wasn't really expecting that sort of thing in an on-line game. I love it and hope to be playing it for awhile.

My biggest gripe is setting the whole thing up. Ugh. Clearing six gigs of space for it was enough, let alone installing five discs, registering everything, and downloading a huge patch. It took me a bit to get used to how stuff worked, too, but after I had stuff figured out I got addicted. Eh. The lack of an onscreen map kind of annoys me too. I'm lazy. Going into a menu, selecting Map and going through the marker list until I find my party is a hassle. Waah. :rolleyes2
