Weapons

I liked the mixed waepon gunblade. I thought it a nice change of pace from your average run-of-the-mill sword. Wel anyway, I liked all the weapons, even Rinoa's......sorta. But did anyone here think they should have had some other weapons...or whatever........I wished they had a lance user.

I like the weapons in FF8 too. They are a bit different from the other FF weapons... For example I like the whip (Quistis weapon) and the Nunchaku (Selphie) (don't know if that's spelled right?)...

And no... there wasn't any weapons I missed...

yeah, i missed the "crazy guy with the huge sword" character that seems to be in most FFs.. prolly seem out of place in FF8, owell..

...So Squall's weapon isn't quite big enough?
His gunblades are actually pretty huge, especially the Revolver and Lion Heart.

Also, Squall has been taught from an early age to kill, without mercy and without feeling, anyone his boss tells him to. I'd say he's pretty "crazy".

True, his weapons are quite large but still properly proportioned to the character unlike characters like Cloud and Auron who have weapons that have no realism whatsoever to them. I guess we could consider the weapons of FFVI just as oversized considering Ragnarok, Excalibur, and Atma Weapon were all far larger than the actual sprites.

Yeah they might be out of porportion but it puts some of us in awe ;p They whip arse with them. Squall's weapon was super, especially with the extra trigger command on it to get more damage, that was fun.

Weapons were OK, Rinoa just attacks to slow. All that "jump-forward-raiseMyHand-waitForSomething-fire-waitForItToReturn-jumpBack" was too slow for my taste. Also, Squall's attack was somewhat heavy, if not clumsy. If only he striked like Seifer did... light, fast and nimble. Oh well.

I can't see how Zell's gloves make him more powerful. I mean, surely it would hurt more to be hit with the Metal Knuckle than the Ehrgeiz? I think there should have been a lance user (Cid and Freya are the coolest!)

Slight side note here: Where can I get Dragon Fangs from? I need them for the Lionheart. I'm on Lv. 100, have all GF's, have the Ragnarok, just about to enter Lunatic Pandora

You can get Dragons Fangs from the following monsters.

T-Rexaur
Grendal
Blue Dragon

All of them can be found on the Island Closest To Hell.

Do I need to use Tonberry's Lv. Down, Rare Item or Mug on any of them?

I think Grendals and Blue Dragons drop them after battle or you can steel them using mug command.

The T-Rexaur only has them at a certain level and wont always drop 'em
