Fighting against Cyrus

In Cyrus's castle I fight Cyrus but I cannot damage him, I hear there is a way to get in that castle without having to fight him but it involves getting some tools or something, can somebody help me out here?

You need to go back and forth from 600AD and the present to repair the castle. Get some tools from the present I believe, go back and give them to the guy's ancestor, who will start repairs on the castle for a price. Once the castle is all repaired, Frog can pay his respects and you wont have to fight anyone.

Where do I get these tools at?

In the carpenter's house if I remember well, talk to the carpenter, in the past, then in the present, ten talk to his wife, she should give you the tools then. Then you can give them to the carpenter in the past.

His team won't be able to repair places where there are monsters, so you'll have to clear them out one area at a time.
