Every time I try to access this I keep getting cut off, what m i doing wrong?
did you do IRC client thingy stuff?

First you need to have an IRC client downloaded and installed. Most people like this one.
Go to "File > Select Server..." and then click the button that says "Add".
Fill in the fields thusly:
Description: FFChat (or whatever, really)
IRC Server: irc.ffchat.net
Ports: 6669
Group (whatever, just be sure you can find it later)
After clicking "Add" to confirm, you should be able to connect to the server by clicking the "Connect to Server" button.
When you're connected, if you type "/join #eoff" it'll join the chatroom for you.
Or you can just go to the Java page here, and click 'accept' when the dialog box pops up.

I think that page still works...
But you can do more fancy tricks in mIRC, so I'd use that if you can.

yeah I use the java one...hmmm *thinks about dling the mIRC client*
