There were more Final Fantasy games released in Japan. *nods*
Yes, its because the ones in Asia were released normally, as that's their country of origin.
In America, instead of releasing the consecutively, they changed the order, and then decided to fix it with the Playstation series.
Edit: Rather, they did release them in the right over, just not all of them. They released... I believe I, IV, and VI, but as I, II, and III.
But after America's FF3 (Asia's FF6) they decided to make it straight again and FF7 was just FF7 all around the world.
And the rest is, how they say, history.

But if the Asia's I, IV & VI is the American I, II & III and then the VII is the same all over the world, what is the American IV, V & VI in Asia?
Kaine
Once Square decided to stop messing with our heads, the numbering in America went straight from III to VII.
So it is really just 8 FFgames released in Usa...
And the 6th game is the same.
What about the 2 sets of games that has been released recently?
One pack is with FF I & II and the other with FF IV & V... What is their number in Asia?
Kaine
All the FF games except III have been released in America.
I was released as I
IV was released as II
VI was released as III
VII was released as VII
VII, IX, X, X-2, XI, Tactics, and Tactics Advance we released under their correct names.
Final Fantasy Anthologies, Chronicles, and Origins were released, containing I, II, IV, V, and VI under their original names.
So Asia's FFIV has been released under txo different names? II & IV? The same for Asia's FFVI = III & VI?
Kaine
Yes.
Final Fantasy IV was released as Final Fantasy II for the SNES. It was re-released as Final Fantasy IV for the Playstation.
Final Fantasy VI was released as Final Fantasy III for the SNES. It was re-released as Final Fantasy VI for the Playstation.
I got it know so thank you everyone who has helped me...
Thanks a lot
