Thread: GF Question

    Default GF Question

Are the SumMag +XX% cumulative? In other words, if Bahamut learns SumMag +10, 20, 30, and 40%, is his power boosted by 100%? The same goes for GFHP +XX%.

Yes, because if he had 100 atk, 10% would be 10 atk, 20% would be 20 atk, 30% would be 30 atk and 40% would be 40 atk, therefore resulting in 100HP total. So if you had plus 10%, 20%, 30%, 40% you would double your GFs power. Same thing with it's HP. The GFs that can't add in power is Cactuar, Diablos, Carbuncle, and Cerberus, because Carberus and Carbuncle don't cause any damage and Diablos and Cactuar do damage depending on their level.

"Remember the time you went in the women's wash..."
    "HEY!" -Quistis and Zell

"Great. I'm the captain of a chicken wuss and a guy who just reached puberty." -Seifer

"So you became the sorceress's lapdog."
"I'd prefer to be called her knight." -Squall and Seifer

"Hey, maybe we should be careful, Laguna."
"Hey, what's the worst that can happen?" -Ward and Laguna

"Whoa, I'm glad I told you to be careful."
"Wasn't that me who said that?" -Laguna and Ward

    Well acctually, if I'm correct in saying;
    10% of 100 = 10
    100 + 10 = 110

    20% of 110 = 22
    110 + 22 = 132

    30% of 132 = 39.6
    132 + 39.6 = 171.6

    40% of 171.6 = 68.64
    171.6 + 68.64 = 240.24

So the result in the end would be 240 or 241 attack (seen as you dont get decimals ^.^) that is if they are cumulative

I'm quite sure that the abilities are NOT cumluative - for example, SumMag+20% is supposed to REPLACE SumMag+10%. I believe that's the reasoning behind Amnesia Greens - you're supposed to make GF's forget abilities which are now "obsolete" because you've learned a higher percentage, in order to make room for more abiliites.

While GF stat boosting abilities merely replace lower levels ones, character stat boosting abilities can be combined. Like HP+10% and HP+80% could be junctioned on the same character to boost their HP by 90%.
