Default Beat Seph at Lv. 69

Hey I want to thank the site for an awesome walkthrough. Everything was detailed and great!

I got the game 4 days ago and I am now on Lv. 70 with

    87HP
    10MP
    46AP
    Str62
    Def48

    Weapon Key:Ultima Weapon
Acc. :Crystal Crown, Titan Chain, Omega Arts

I didnt want to wait and Lv. up to 85 so I went ahead and took Seph on. I put a bunch of Elixers in my inventory and basically threw the Raid attack (throwing keyblade) the whole time. Cause when I'm throwing it, I become invulnerable during that time. Whenever he did Sin Harvest on me, I just simply run as far away as possible and had Elixer ready to use. Although I did come to near death (saved by Second Chance) because he was blue and going psycho.

I was wondering what you guys did to beat seph and at what level.

Lvl 69? Impressive! Normal mode or Expert Mode? Also, what items at beginning? (sword, shield, staff)

I haven't tried that low a level yet, but I could probably do it. (if I restarted the entire ing game!)

I always have one method of fighting Sephiroth:

Normal Mode: (Lvl 100) Equip- Ultima Weapon, 2 Omega Arts, 1 Titan Chain 2 Elixirs, 4 Hi- Potions. Chose: Sword, then Shield
Expert Mode: (Lvl 74) Equip- same as above

Strategy- hit 'n run, he uses Flare as a counterattack to any hit; use no attack magic; equip MP Rage twice, thus, every strike will give you about 1 MP; after a 3-hit combo, back off since he'll teleport after a 4-hitter; dodge roll like crazy during meteor; attack him while he is summoning Heartless Angel (AKA Sin Harvest) and the spell will stop; Guard when he slashes (if you're fast enough) (NOTE: this includes his Omnislash, it can be guarded but he will keep slashing, no recoil); Curaga like a madman; and those black ball things (when he is blue) that folow his steps... just jump over them.

I am playing on Expert mode, and I chosen the Shield and gave up the Sword.

Yeah the Omnislash hurts especially when you can't hit him back. I used Raid during this time also...

    1. because it last for a long time because you rethrow the keyblade.
    2. because you are invulnerable during the attack.

Bah, I beat him on normal mode when I was on level 62. I had the Oblivion, 2 Omega Arts, a Crystal Crown, and I forget the other thing. I thought that Omnislash attacks were pretty easy to dodge.

I've also beaten him somwhere in the 60s on expert. *shrug*

Now I have to try it on the harder mode in Final Mix.

Okay, this was probably luck, but I beat him on Expert on level 59 with the lionheart.

Strike raid was a big key for me here, and every time he hit me just once I was down to 1 hp., so I had to use cure when I got hit every time(this was hard at the end because he gets so fast.)
