Why the hell is everyone voting for "a big guy with a sword"? Nearly every FF has a big guy with a sword. Biggles, by the way, looks like an overgrown hamster with a big red nose. VOTE FOR HIM NOW! His special power would be rolling around in a giant hamster ball and running in to people.

The first thing that came to my mind was Cyan too...
Nothing makes things more interesting than a big angry guy with a big ass sword. By the time Final Fantasy XIII comes out, you can probably choose to be the bad guys if you want to, making things more interesting. Imagine the dialogue of some big bruiser Viking like character.
