i dotn know about that everytime i have fainted it still kept the hot spring effect.......... i never had to find the spring again
once you've touched the hot spring and you're still on the same saved game, you won't have to find it again. as for the fainting thing, just think of it as a timeclock under which you need to get to the cave - gotta be quick!
