My first was a NES. I miss it... I had the first Final Fantasy, but the system and all of its games stopped working, so I sold them for $10.

"What are you doing?"
"Maybe killing you here is the only way to end this nightmare..."
"Yeah, you might be right."

Sega Master System. Not the first system I ever played, but the first system I ever got. My earliest memories are actually of playing Mario Bros on my parent's friends Atari 2600, and getting my dad to hold me up to an arcade machine so I could play Donkey Kong.
After that, in order, comes the Genesis, Super Nintendo, Game Gear, NES, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, PS2, and Gameboy Advance. They all still get a reasonable amount of play, too. Now I've gotta get myself an Atari 2600, Saturn, and X-Box.
Sig under construction.
NES for me as well, not with the Mario Bros./Duck Hunt game but with Tetris.
The first system I owned was Nintendo 64, but The first system I played with was the sega genesis, my brother bought it.
Super NES with Super Mario World. I'm still upset that I missed out on the NES era.
Computer: Commodore 128 ( co-owned with brothers)
Console: Sega Genesis/Megadrive ( first games were NHL '93 and FIFA '93)
I didn't play many other games with Genesis than NHL 93 - 96.

Mine was something called Hito 8000 It's something like an old Nes ripoff, i was only 5 at the time, and that drew me to video games... I spent hours playing Rockman (megaman) And some other weird game that i loved, it was just like mario! except he was a kid, and he could skip on water! And even the day changed from day to night, it was crazy! It's a shame that everything was in Japanies though....
I remember getting an NES when I was fairly young, but didn't really get into video games until I had an SNES.
Take care all.
Well if your talking of systems given to me as gifts my first would be the Atari 2600, but if you mean system I went out and bought on my own with my own money I'd say my XBox.
