    Default Using the Ultimate Weapons?

Let's see. . . Ultima Weapon, Premium Heart, Missing Score, Limited Moon, HP Shout, Conformer, Venus Gospel and Death Penalty. The ultimate weapons for each character.

Does anyone actually use them, though? Except for Battle Square and the final fights with Sephiroth, I don't use any of those weapons at all. I stick with other weapons because of the fact the ultimate ones don't develop AP at all. You'll always see me with things like Apocalypse, Oritsuru, Max Ray and whatnot. The slightly less powerful weapons that, in my opinion, are better for what I want to do.

I keep some normal growth weapons with me that I use for normal occassions. For training, I switch around materia on the douple or triple growth weapons, whichever needs to be trained. But no, I never use the ultimate weapons aside from what you mentioned. Thats why I never used the Ziedrich or anything, because they were no growth materia. I think the ultiamte weapon was designed to fight emerald and ruby weapon, but miss that giant AP bonus? Hell no!!

Thus the title ultimate weapons. They gotta have some downside, as materia combos already make the game a cinch. Try doing a no materia game, ultimate weapons become handy

...and Limited Moon and Venus Gospel become VERY effective, since you'll NEVER use MP.

And Ultimate Weapons have the best rate of hitting for max hp (9999),wink,wink> I only use the Ultimate's when I am at the end and strong enough without any materia, but otherwise triple growth weapons are my best options.

this is what i do, when fighting the weapons, i use my ultimate weapons for each charecter, and equip them with my already mastered materia, i have the wizard armlet for armor, and i equip all my low level materia to that, so I still get the ap bonus and use the ultimate weapons at the same time.

This may be because you don't know how to power them up effectively.

Ultima Weapon: Power rises when Cloud's HP is at max, power falls in tandem with his HP.

Premium Heart: Power rises in tandem with Tifa's Limit Gauge ie the higher her gauge the more powerful the weapon (PLEASE NOTE, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE NUMBER OF 'MISS' YOU GET IN HER SLOTS!)

Princess Guard: Power rises when the other two characters are on critical HP.

Missing Score: Power rises when equipped with materia that has a lot of AP ie mastered materia (not master materia, as that has no AP at all)

Limited Moon: Power rises when Nanaki's MP is at max, power falls in tandem with his HP.

Venus Gospel: Same as Limited Moon

HP Shout: Same as Ultima Weapon

Conformer: Power increases if the enemies level is higher than Yuffie's. Also has the ability to do 9,999 with the Morph command.

Death Penalty: Power increases as Vincent kills enemies. He needs to land the finishing blow in order for it to count. Unfortunately, I'm not sure as to the exact amount of enemies you need to get 9,999 damage, but it is a lot (over 1,000, I'm sure)

[q=zacks_clone]i havent collected them all yet[/q]

    Ultima Weapon: Defeat Ultima WEAPON

Premium Heart: Find the Sector 5 Key in Bone Village, then return to Midgar and go to Wall Market. Visit the Item Booth with the gatling gun to find it.

Princess Guard: Found in Door IIII of the Clock Room in the Temple of the Ancients

Missing Score: Found on the stairs of the Sister Ray during the Invasion of Midgar (Disc 2). You need Barret in your party.

Limited Moon: Given to you by Bugenhagen at anytime on Disc 3.

Venus Gospel: Given to you by the old man outside the materia shop in Rocket Town anytime after the rocket has been launched.

HP Shout: Found in the lockers on Floor 64 of the Shinra HQ during the invasion of Midgar (Disc 2)

Conformer: Found in the Sunken Gelnika Airship.

Death Penalty: Given to you by Lucrecia in the waterfall cave near Nibelheim. You need to visit her on Disc 2, and once again on Disc 3 to receive this weapon.

I always use the Conformer because it's really the best weapon for Yuffie. Combined with morph it is highly powerful and incredibly useful for getting great items (tetra elementals, ribbons, sources, etc). Besides, if you go in the Gelnika early in the game, it will be even more useful since it gains power when Yuffie is fighting higher level monsters.

I use them once I have a fair amount of mastered materia. I fight magic pots using the triple weapons and then switch out when I have my ultimate materia combos.

I only used Cloud's ultimate weapon. I don't remember what I used for Tifa and Vincent (my other two party members) though.
