At the end of the Floating Continent, when (SPOILER)shadow stays behind to help you escape, wait until the clock says 0.05. He will then come, but you will lose him again at the start of the World Of Ruin, however, wager the Striker at the Colossium and you will fight him. Win the battle and win him back
