that's no doubt because of the way the plot was revealed. if you look at it in terms of a website like this or this (warning: spoilers in both obviously) it makes a lot more sense, but i'm the first to agree that it could have been better done.
which is why, no matter that i love the first 95% of cc to bits, suikoden eclipses it.

how about a medievel theme but with futuristic things... know wot i mean? like roman generals but with laser guns... i cant think of Nethin else rite now but u catch my drift...
FFX-2 had something like the journal in Kingdom Hearts. The only things it really lacked were the counter that keeps track of how many enemies you've slain of each type and the ability to freely rotate the models.
Me, I'd like to see a return of the team system used in FFVI.
multiple worlds to travel between, like in ff4 or ff9 except you actually do it throughout the game.
Everybody seems set that there can only be two types of setting - medieval and futuristic. Why not neither? Couldn't we have something original? Like, something we could have never dreamed of? That would be a "fantasy" if you ask me. FFVI did a pretty good job of an original setting with the whole steampunk feel.

bringing back any traits of ff5 would be fabulous. a party member who is a turtle. or has four arms.
Actually, they should make a Final Fantasy All Stars with playable characters like Garland, Ultros, Gilgamesh, Reno, Elena, Sailor Erin, Guido, Princess Sara, etc. Just a good comic relief game without the heavy save-the-world plot.

Gilgamesh, Ultros and Reno fighting in the same party would be downright hilarious. I'd pay good money for that.

Final Fantasy Chocobo Racing. WITH 32 DIFFERENT CHARACTERS THAT HAVE DIFFERENT ATTRIBUTES! It'd give Mario Kart a run for it's money.
chocobo racing is lame. i'd rather have a bonafide rpg out of the ff all-stars game.

except highwind and probably pollendina, who would have to be playable characters or the whole thing would be an exercise in futility.
